Manchester City have suffered a major injury blow as playmaker, Kevin De Bruyne sustained a knee injury during Wednesday’s training.
City confirmed earlier today that the Belgian, who only recently returned to training after his World Cup commitment with his country’s national team, is to undergo a scan to determine the extent of the damage.
De Bruyne is understood to have torn the ligaments in his right knee in what is described as a freak accident.
According to The Telegraph, the 27-year-old is expected to remain absent from manager, Pep Guardiola’s squad until mid-December this year.
