Chelsea goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois has said that he can’t wait to be back.
However, his ambiguous message has left the Blues’ fans doubtful over his future at the Stamford Bridge.
Courtois’ future has been in doubt throughout the transfer window with the Belgium international keen to join Real Madrid.
Chelsea director, Marina Granovskaia has been in talks with Real about Courtois but no agreement has been found over a fee.
The West London club are also unwilling to let Courtois leave until they have signed a replacement.
Courtois is expected back at the club this weekend after a break following the 2018 FIFA World Cup and in a post on Instagram, the 26-year-old said he is looking forward to returning.
In a picture of himself making a save for Belgium at the World Cup, he wrote: “Can’t wait to be back! #1.”
But fans were unsure about the cryptic message.
One fan wrote: “Back to where??
Another wrote: “Chelsea or Real Thibaut?”
While one supporter said: “Loyalty or Money. What’s it gonna be?”
Courtois’s post comes after Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri admitted he didn’t know whether the goalkeeper would stay at the club.
“I don’t know,” said Sarri.
“At the moment Courtois is the goalkeeper of the club but I don’t know in the future.
“It depends on the club, and especially on him I think. I hope that Courtois will be our goalkeeper.”
